Terms & Condition’s of sale

1.	Orders should be placed well in advance (at least 3 - 4 months) of pickup or shipping date to ensure the availability of stock. For orders placed in May-January, we will reply to orders, then confirm them by processing payment in January.  For  orders placed January- March will be processed at the time of order to reserve the trees
2.	All bare rooted trees are freshly dug in the Spring, while the trees are in a dormant stage and properly stored until shipping or pick up.  Trees are inspected for viability before leaving premises.
3.	We only ship trees in the Spring.
4.	Bare rooted nursery stock is shipped April through mid May. All nursery stock is packaged with shredded damp newspaper in a waterproof container. We use shredded newspaper, because it holds the moisture best and the ink acts as a sterilizer for the roots. The newspaper can be used as a mulch by the customer around the trees.  In some cases with extra large decidious trees they may have to be bent to fit into the shipping container.  As the trees are dormant this will not do any harm to the trees.  Upon arrival, simply straighten the tree out and refer to our Planting and Cultural Requirement section.
5.	Prices shown are for single plants in quantities of 1 - 50, larger quantities of a single variety are subject to a discount, please contact nursery for prices.
6.	Nursery stock is guaranteed to be in good growing conditions before leaving nursery for shipping or pickup. All nursery stock is guaranteed true to name, as set forth in our current catalogue. No claim will be entertained at all for nursery stock picked up (1) or more days later than the agreed pickup date specified by the customer. We shall not at any time be liable for any amount greater than the original price of the nursery stock. All shipments, whether shipped by us or picked up by the customer, travel at the risk and cost of the purchaser. Claims for damage or loss of stock are to be made with carrier. If you have a claim, please notify us, and we will try to help you settle the claim.
7.	For advance mail orders, we require a full payment with the order. Payment may be made in Canadian or American personal cheques or Canadian and International money orders.  Pick up orders, please send a minimum of 50% with the order, with payment in full at pickup.
8.	A Phytosanitary certificate issued by the Canadian Department of Agriculture is required for all shipments outside of Canada. The cost for this certificate is $15.00. See order form.
9.	We ship by Canada Post (expedited or express mail, next day delivery in Ontario, 3-4 day delivery to Eastern and Western Canada). By using Canada Post we are able to insure the shipment for a minimal amount. United States customers Expedited or Express mail. Nursery stock is boxed and packaged to keep fresh for up to 4 to 5 weeks.  International orders are packaged in the same manner.  For shipment information please contact us at  rhoras@nuttrees.com.
